Default I Heart June Mountain

Sunday we all had the day off so we headed off to June to try to get away from the crowds and the North wind. My good buddy JJ was visiting from Montana and wanted to try splitboarding. We went to Mammoth Mountaineering and rented the boards the night before.

When Being introduced to splitboarding there is a rule you need to be aware of.

Rule #1: Set up the board the night before, it takes longer than you think, especially if its your 1st time. Here's a photo of me violating rule #1 after a big pancake breakfast.

Now here are the steps to having an awesome day in the Slackcountry.
1:Make sure you are mentally prepared and have made the right phone calls

2:Get to June by Noon and get on the longest chair ever. enjoy it.

3:Go outside the resort boundaries.

4. Stay hydrated.

5. Go with solid people that have some experience, like Big Mountain Rider Jason Templeton.

6.Slay Pow

7. Make sure you get some product placement photos for potential sponsors

and a scenic photo to put on the fridge

8. ride until you can't anymore

9. be careful

"I wish I could have pancakes and powder every day!"
